Waterkloof Gymnastics Club | Waterkloof Ridge
The forming of this gymnastics clubs took place in 1991. Known previously as the Hansel Fun Gym Club, the goal was to fulfill a need that existed in the form of exercise, health and fitness for preschool children, but also children with special needs.
As Hansel Fun Gym Club grew, so did the need for bigger and better facilities. Waterkloof Gymnastics Club came to being, offering more traditionally known forms of Artistic Gymnastics, Tumbling as well as Toddler Gymnastics and Gymnastics for children with special needs.
Gymnastics is one of the most fundamental and exciting of all physical activities, and Waterkloof Gymnastics Club has been providing young and old alike with the opportunity to participate and excel within these activities.
Their courses:
Preschool Programme
Geared and tailored to the needs and requirements of preschoolers
Beginner Classes
The gymnast receives the necessary knowledge and skills required to enter a more competitive and also more demanding level of participation.
Novice Section
The first level of competitive Gymnastics. Based on the Levels Programme of the South African Gymnastics Federation for both boys and girls.
Intermediate Section
This covers the Levels 3 through to Levels 5 of the Men and Women’s Levels Programmes respectively.
Advanced Section
The Advanced Section is the turning point where the gymnast enters the realm of high level Gymnastics. This is where a gymnast has to show his or her skills acquired over the years in a highly competitive arena and constantly vie for a place in Provincial and National teams.
