Need to get out and have some fun in a relaxed and creative environment, or need to keep the kids busy with something other than television throughout the school holidays?
At the Pottery Junxion we offer pottery to persons of all ages from six and upwards. Whether you are a hobbyist or an artist we cater for you! To take part in this fun and creative class all you need is yourself! No artistic or creative abilities are required and all the products required are available for buying in our store where the classes take place.
All techniques that could be applied to ceramics are taught which include painting, decoupage, drybrushing, antiquing and mosaic.
Our classes are held for three hours per workshop from Monday to Saturday and due to the fact that we would like to accommodate everyone we do not have a set timetable.

If you want to learn how to manipulate clay and discover and understand the properties of clay, then Lehmcraft Pottery Studio is the perfect place to take part in exciting and creative new projects. With a qualified and skilled teacher, classes are geared towards children and adults alike.
In the interests of everyone, health and safety standards will also be discussed with the students in terms of clay and glaze composition ingredients, the firing process and safety rules regarding the studio and kiln room.
While children are having fun, a whole range of other learning experiences are taking place – children have to take decisions, learn how to plan to complete a project.
While all equipment and materials are provided in the studio, students are welcome to take along their own tools.
A pottery workshop geared towards about 20 participants is a great team building initiative and can be customised to suit any group’s requirements.

Elza van Dijk graduated from the University of Pretoria with a BSc degree in domestic science, but chose pottery as a full time career, practicing the art in most of its forms and more recently sculptured, architectural and landscape ceramics.
With her own spacious studio she explores the application, form and function of ceramic art in the fields of architecture and landscaping, and beautiful sculptures and tiles for garden & water features are made to order.
Elza also has an on-going group of students that attend classes in her studio, becoming excellent with the techniques, and thoroughly enjoy the times spent at this studio.
