The Fusion Cooking School offers a variety of cooking courses from amateur to professional cook. To ensure that each student receives personal attention, each course is limited to 12 applicants which guarantees hands-on teaching and also makes for a sociable working environment.

The school accepts both matriculated and non-matriculated students who show a natural flair for cooking, an aptitude for entertaining and a passion for food. The Fusion Cooking School is accredited as a Training Provider by the South African Chefs Association (SACA). There are three kitchens: The Restaurant kitchen, the Training Kitchen, and the Pastry Kitchen. There is also Student Accomodation available on-site.

The Eden School of Culinary Art has a good reputation for training chefs of quality. In the last 4 years all their students have been placed in top facilities for their mentorship and with the result have found excellent jobs. They offer a 2 year Diploma course in association with Steyn’s Culinary School in Pretoria.
The first year is the certificate year. In October students are placed out for a 6 month mentorship.
Students return in November for a week to do exams – theory and practical. On return from mentorship in March of the following year, students who want to do the diploma will stay on with exams in November again.
Over and above the subjects for City & Guilds they are the only school to offer the following specialized add on courses:
- cake decorating and sugar work
- hospitality accounting
- French – spoken and written
- function management
- all the subjects are facilitated by professionals in their respective fields.
- guest lecturers also present various specialist lectures such as workshops on plating, styling etc.
Students get the opportunity to work at various facilities during their course to gain experience in order to be well versed in the hospitality industry when entering their mentorship.
