The Academy was established in 2006. The name Blue Planet was derived from the Blue flag beaches indicating a respect towards the environment and its protection. Their off-road driving isn’t the creation of new tacks but how to safely handle a vehicle in existing tracks.
They offer various levels of training on different types of terrain, and participants can start at the bottom and work themselves up to an Advanced level.
Their level 1 through to 3 includes driving techniques – classroom theory with practical demonstrations and assessments.
Certificates of attendance and completion are offered and with level 3 there is also a written test.
Advanced training – they offer custom designed training and concentrate on specific needs requirements. Classroom theory plus any of subjects listed below :
- GPS
- Recovery (Jacking / Pulling / Winching)
- Trailer / Caravan Towing
- Bush Mechanics
- Bush Tyre Repair
- Overlanding & Vehicle preparation
