They are the largest swimming pool on the West Rand, opening in 1996. They teach everyone, from the age of 2 right up to adults. Not only that, The Swim School also has a program for handicapped swimmers. The Swim School is a highly respected, renowned for its highly skilled coaches, some of who have been requested to work overseas.
The school is also associated with a number of primary schools where the coaches provide training. They also do training for both short course, long course and distance swimming and are contracted to SAA (Swimming South Africa).
The Swim School also teaches coaches in the various swimming dimensions. They have seven qualified swimming instructors and 4 training instructors.

Founded in 1992, Swim4life has more than 30 years combined training experience in teaching students and they believe on the principle that learning how to swim well is important for the physical and mental well being and they have trained thousands of swimmers successfully.
Their courses start from babies and go right through to masters level. Their courses have been carefully formulated to improve swimming style, but also co-ordination and stamina.
Instructors here are qualified and registered with Swim South Africa and Western Province Aquatics and are trained to use Swim4life methodology.

Established in 1974, Lis’ Swimming Pool is the largest all season swimming teaching facility in the area. They have two indoor, heated pools used for a range of activities such as Aquatots, Learn to Swim, Hydrotherapy, Water-aerobics and beginner adults.
They offer a safe environment together with highly qualified and experienced teachers who are registered with Swimming South Africa and the Swimming Teachers Association Gauteng.
Once a child is water-borne the progression through the 4 swimming strokes is managed on a personal basis by qualified teachers.
For adults, this swimming school can help – from floating to perfecting your stroke – and lessons are eight lessons of 30 minutes and can be in a group or privately. Lessons are in Summer as well as Winter.
They also offer a program for teachers and extra-mural staff which shows them how to effectively transfer swimming skills to students.

The fact that the owner, Pam Reyneke has more than 30 years of teaching swimming and also received Swimming South Africa’s Gold Award for these services means that when it comes to swimming lessons, you won’t find a better swimming academy.
This swimming academy continually reviews their programs, and they make continuous adjustments as techniques change and are discovered in order that swimmers receive the best instruction. All instructors are trained by Pam to teach according to this program.
Todswim classes for toddlers from 1 – 3, beginners classes have only 2 children per class, intermediate classes are taught basic strokes in small groups of 3-4 per class, while the advanced classes or for those children who want to become competitive swimmers, and are taught techniques used by world class swimmers. These classes have 4 -8 children per class.
Adults are not left out, and there are lessons from beginner level right up to competitive swimmers.
Swimming coaching is also offered for Master, Triathlon or Open Water adult swimmers.
Video analysis where a video is taken of your swimming from all angles, and then watched and analyzed is also available and very useful.
