FS Creations has made use of the abundance of raw materials available in South Africa and they create beautiful pieces of jewellery by joining silver with the mystery and light of many different semi-precious stones by encasing earth stone, texture and light. There are two brands of silver clay being used - Precious Metal Clay and Art Clay Silver and they offer silver clay courses.
The courses are very exciting and you will learn all about rolling, moulding, forming, firing, finishing and polishing.

Fancy making your own wedding ring or you want to find out how jewellers make a ring to size? A jewellery making course at Novus Jewellery will ensure you an exciting course of discovery and of creativity.
Soldering skills will teach you how to keep the two ends together while using a ring triblet and rawhide mallet you will learn how to shape the ring.

Small classes of not more than five will ensure individual attention for students. The basic techniques are taught in the first 6 projects, working with copper, after which students will move onto to projects in sterling silver. Students then start to create their own designs.
The main focus of Novus is to teach you how to make your own copper, fine silver, sterling silver and gold jewellery, and no experience is required! All their classes are 2 hours long. Their studio is well equipped for jewellery making .

Chantal offers various courses in jewellery skills from her fully equipped workshop which includes vacuum casting and electroforming facilities. You won’t find big classes here because she like to ensure that students enjoy maximum attention.

Chantal studied B.A. Fine Arts (Creative Jewellery Design and Manufacture) at the University of Stellenbosch and later attained her honours degree (cum laude) after which she lectured for a number of years, so you can see that when it comes to jewellery making, you are ensured of excellent training.
