Sail Due South was established in 2004, and with Jaco Pieterse as the Principal, and who has been involved in all aspects of sailing for more than 15 years, training is of the highest quality. He is one of the best qualified yachtsmen and instructors in South Africa.

Jaco’s experience ranges from sail training for the major South African Sailing schools, chartering on various oceans to boat deliveries as well as boat building.

All the instructors at Sail Due South have gone through a certified training program and have many sea miles on their backs.

They are a small sailing school, focusing on individual sailing solutions and personal guidance. They offer RYA and SAS approved and recognized courses which they run in the only RYA approved waters in South Africa.

Established in 1895, Bonnielass Border Collies specialises in breeding working sheepdogs that have the ability to work in any conditions. The Karoo, perfect for sheepfarming, is also perfect for sheepdog training.

They breed with pure bred Border Collies, favouring the Coon bloodline for their strength, speed,and stamina in working with both large and small flocks of sheep, and other animals. They respond quickly and accurately to verbal and whistled commands.

Their training methods are of the highest standard . They have discovered it it best to train each dog separately from the age of four months, at which age they are physically able to cover the large distances involved.

Each person forms a unique bond with the dog, and this really enhances the training experience.

The School was established in 2002 and the relaxed and creative atmosphere is conducive to providing the students with an excellent studying environment. They offer a two year diploma in graphic design and photography. Their academic year is divided into four modules during which various topical projects will be covered.

The students are briefed at the beginning of each new project and the execution of the project takes place under close supervision of a lecturer through formal lectures, guided group discussions, demonstrations, case studies and on video and presentations. Reports are given four times a year.
