Personal attention from Kim Field is given to each pupil at the Kim Field Academy, who is a qualified teacher and examiner with a Diploma in the Performing Arts from the University of Cape Town.

The Dance Teachers Association of South Africa invited Kim Filed for assistance and she subsequently was appointed examiner and adjudicator for the association for two years.

The International Dance and Drama Academy was established after numerous requests to re-open her studios, which she did in partnership with her daughter Lara. Lara studied the latest dance techniques in the USA.

Kim Field Dance Academy present classes in all the following disciplines.

Select  dancers in four groups of dancers are presented on a regular basis by Kim Field Dance Academy to appear in live shows.

Mrs Mary-Jane Ford, started the Dance Academy of South Africa, or DASA, in 1991.

To bring her passion for dancing and children together was her dream when she created an organisation where everybody was welcome to find the joy in dancing, while maintaining high standards.

Today the association has grown to more than 100 dance studios throughout South Africa. With a studio in Namibia as the beginning of going global.

Dance Academy of South Africa offers:

• Ballet syllabi range from Tiny Tots for 3 to 5 year olds

The medal dances add variety and provide opportunities for performance.

Suited for major students requiring a more theoretical background and potential or existing dance teachers.

The  aim of the Directors, Examiners and other members of DASA is to make dancing a happy experience for all involved – the student, the parents and the teachers.
